My plans for Hunger Action Week…what are yours?

Great news! Hunger Action Week is next week, March 25-30. The truth is, 1 in 5 kids in King County is at risk for hunger. United Way of King County is giving everyone the perfect chance to shine a spotlight on this issue and do what you can to spread awareness.
This is how I plan to spend Hunger Action Week:

Increase economic stability, decrease hunger

13% of King County Residents are food insecure. This means 1 in 6 adults was unsure how to provide food for themselves or their families during 2012.

Hunger is a cyclical problem that inhibits many families from establishing stability in other areas of their lives. Think about your own life, what has caused you to forfeit a meal?
