Good Food, Good Health, Good Life on a Budget

26 February 2013 No Comment Basic Needs , Hunger Action Week

When it comes to living and aging well, nobody should be forced to choose between good nutrition and paying other bills–especially not in a resource-rich city like Seattle! On March 8, the Advisory Council for Aging & Disability Services and United Way of King County welcomes all Seattle-area seniors to our Good Food, Good Health, Good Life on a Budget event.

Join us at Southeast Seattle Senior Center on March 8 from 11:00 – 1:30 for lunch provided by United Way of King County and a lively discussion with a panel of experts.

This is a great opportuntiy to:

  • Learn the connection between the foods we eat and good health as we age.
  • Unravel myths about food choices and have your questions answered.
  • Explore options for obtaining healthy foods.
  • Make a difference! Learn about opportunities to engage with United Way’s efforts to fight hunger; and sign up for information about Hunger Action Week (March 25–30).

This event and lunch are free, but space is limited. Please RSVP by calling 206-722-0317 or emailing sessc@seniorservices.org.
