Welcome to United Way’s Election Day Count-Down!

Official count: 7 days until Election Day!

Here in Washington, voting has started since we are now a vote-by-mail state and ballots were mailed on October 17. United Way wants to make sure that all voices are heard this election day, including those who may not have a permanent home or mailing address.  Even without a permanent home, you have the right to vote! Please spread the word before Election Day.

Today is the last day to register to vote. If you have not done so already, you can go to the King County Elections office locations listed below:

King County Voter Registration Annex                        King County Elections Office

King County Administration Building                                       919 SW Grady Way

500 4th Avenue, Room 311                                                         Renton, WA 98057

Seattle, WA 98104

Keep in mind that voters can put any location as a residence, including an intersection or landmark, but you must have a valid mailing address to pick up your ballot. (This could be the address of a food bank, shelter, or through General Delivery).

If you have registered previously but no longer have access to the mailing address on an old registration or have lost or misplaced your ballot, visit the Elections Office in Renton to ask about receiving a ballot in person or try printing one from the King County elections website.

Finally, individuals with felony convictions who are no longer under any form of Department of Corrections authority (parole, probation, etc.) and who are not disqualified from voting due to a court order, have the right to vote. Visit an Elections Office today to register for this election!

If you have questions or would like materials with more information, contact Katherine Buckley at 206.461.3705 or kbuckley@uwkc.org. Vote on, Washington!
