No, it’s not the zombie apocalypse. It’s Day of Caring!
On September 21st, thousands of people, with one thing on their minds, will take over King County, leaving nary a corner untouched. They’ll be fast. They’ll be thorough. They’ll be….hungry. No, it’s not the zombie apocalypse. It’s something much more fun (and far less messy). It’s Day of Caring, the largest day of volunteering in Washington State! 11,000+ volunteers will spend the day helping hundreds of King County nonprofits, schools, and parks with projects ranging from landscaping, to painting, to reading with little kids (awwww). To top it all off, there will be a big ol’ party afterwards at CenturyLink Field with food, drinks, and prizes. Know a nonprofit that could benefit from a group of eager volunteers on 9/21? Tell them about Day of Caring! Project submission closes July 20th and volunteers can start signing up August 7th. More info at www.uwkc.org/doc . On, and one last thing…
