I'm at the beginning of day three now, and it's been a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. If I were to do it over, I'd plan my week of meals a bit better, making one big recipe I could eat all week long. My tofu stirfry didn't last long enough!

The things I miss most are coffee and diet coke, I have to say. I know I spend more than I need to on food a lot of the time, so this has been a good reminder of how it's possible to eat more frugally, as well as how people on food stamps can't afford the luxuries of coffee and diet coke.

I'm not sure I'll make it through Friday, with it being Wednesday and there only being $1.90 left for me to spend after the two meals or so I have in my possession now, but it's been an interesting and eye-opening experience.
