It’s great to have so many people in King County following Hunger Action Week as well as people outside the Seattle-area and Washington state. If you live somewhere else in the United Sates and want to get involved in taking action against hunger, feedingamerica.org is a great resource. King County residents can help by giving to United Way’s Response for Basic Needs and by volunteering.

    Hey all you food bloggers!

I just realized that it is Wednesday, so I declare us to be halfway through the week!

There are some amazing recipes and creative work being done and I’m thrilled so many people are participating and shining the light on hunger in our community.

Hang in there and keep those recipes coming!

Congratulations to everyone who’s taking the Hunger Challenge for making it this far. I love how many of the food bloggers are showing that it is possible to eat healthy, delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating bad food, especially when you’re facing tough times, can be so discouraging and depressing. It doesn’t nourish your body and it doesn’t nourish your soul. I know there are barriers–but it’s good to at least show the possibility of options.
